The Wedding Feast at Cana

St. John, in his Gospel, relates for us the beautiful event of the wedding feast at Cana. In Ch. 2 verse 11 John writes, “Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs in Cana of Galilee and so revealed his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him.”
At Mary’s request, Jesus supplied the wedding couple and guests a great quantity of wine and one of very good quality. Mary noticed the need and interceded. Jesus acted upon that intercession.
What can we learn from this? First, whenever Jesus acts he reveals his glory. He reveals his glory in an act of love. “And his disciples began to believe in him.”
When we notice someone in need, a prayer of intercession to Jesus for the one in need is a powerful act of love.
Jesus, may our acts of love reveal your glory and help others believe in you. Thank you, for always being so generous.
